Disney Bomb Japan with more Android Powered Phones

The Japanese certainly have a soft spot for Mickey Mouse and gang, which is why Disney decided the market is ready for yet a slew of new Android-powered smartphones that bear the Disney name. First of all, the DM010SH handset (I can never get used to the model name and numbers) that will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, alongside 512MB RAM, 2GB ROM, a 4″ qHD resolution display that is said to be “3D-capable”, an 8-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity keeping it company.As for the DM011SH smartphone, it shares nearly the same specifications save for a smaller 3.4″ LCD display at 854 × 480 resolution, but it compensates for the smaller display with waterproof and dustproof capability. Last but not least would be the DM001 tablet, where we don’t know nuts about it since Disney decided to be all secretive about it.Out of the two smartphones, which do you think you would jive with best? I suppose those who are younger at heart will find it appealing, but don’t you think the design is a wee bit too kiddy-like?

Dell Streak Pro 101DL Smartphone Touchscreen Review

Dell is going to launch its new touchscreen enabled mobile phone namely, Dell Streak Pro 101DL that has been announced in Japan, where the latter will be a smartphone instead of a tablet device that runs on a dual core 1.5GHz processor while supporting its own cloud service known as “SyncUP” that offers up to 2GB of storage space.This second generation Streak Pro in the Land of the Rising Sun will feature a 4.3″ Super AMOLED display at qHD resolution (540 × 960 pixels). It has Gorilla Glass to add to the overall toughness, but that doesn’t mean you can just hammer away at the screen without seeing it not suffer a crack or scratch. Available in only one color – black, the back is finished in soft silicone rubber that is non-slip and scratch resistant.An 8-megapixel camera at the back and a 1.3-megapixel shooter in front for video calls, Wi-Fi connectivity, a microSD memory card slot and Android 2.3 Gingerbread rounds off the list of features as the Dell Streak Pro 101DL arrives in Japan in January next year.

Panasonic Lumix 101P Android Smartphone Review, Specs and Price

Softbank Mobile a well-known global manufacturer of consumer electronics and IT gadgets has announced to launch its new touchscreen enabled smartphone called as Panasonic Lumix 101P. The Lumix 101P powered by 13-megapixel shooter which will concentrate on being a camera first and phone later, and is pretty hardy compared to most of the other smartphones out there as well thanks to it being waterproof. You won’t find the 101P lacking in terms of processing power either, as it has a dual core 1GHz processor, sporting FeliCa support for wireless payments, a microSD memory card slot, a 4″ qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution display, GPS support, and Wi-Fi connectivity. New iRiver Vanilla Android Smartphone Review

The company iRiver, is apparently preparing to release two new products based on the operating system Android. Photos of the company’s press materials published Korean resource Cetizen. The new models – the first for the iRiver smartphone based operating system Android, which is called the iRiver Vanllia I-L1, as well as the tablet based on the same platform – iRiver TAB ILT-MX100. The documents are image devices, and their description.

Based on these data, the model of iRiver Vanilla features a 3.5-inch touchscreen, built on a 800 MHz processor and operating system, Android 2.2. Also among the new features – Wi-Fi, GPS, DMB, Bluetooth.

As for the iRiver TAB, this model will take on the 7″ form factor alongside 3G connectivity, DMB support, a 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity and 16GB of internal memory – too bad it too, runs on Android 2.2 Froyo. Hopefully a software update will come soon. No idea on pricing, but it seems that they will be released sooner rather than later.[via]

LG Optimus EX Android Smartphone Evaluation

LG has launch new android smartphone which named as LG Optimus EX (SU880) and it will be making its way onto SK Telecom. The Optimus EX will be sporting a 1.2GHz dual-core processor under the hood, although what make and model is unknown at this point. It will also come with a 4” WVGA display and will feature a 5MP rear-facing camera. It will be running on Android’s Gingerbread 2.3 and will come with your typical smartphone features, such as WiFi and Bluetooth.
It is expected to go on sale this month and will be available in colors of either black or white. No word on pricing or if there are plans to take the LG Optimus EX into international markets.

ViewSonic V430 Android Smartphone Review and Price

ViewSonic has launch new touchscreen phone which named as ViewSonic V430. The V430 Android smartphone previous gave users a decent phone with a nice appearance and good overall performance for the time, but the new V430 doesn’t seem to offer many upgrades.
The ViewSonic V430 which powered by a single-core 1GHz Snapdragon processor, will run on the same old Android 2.2, have 512MB of Ram, a 5-megapixel rear camera and VGA front cam. The one true upgrade to speak of is its larger 4.3-inch display, making it the largest available from ViewSonic on their smartphones. The price and other launch details are not yet known, but the V430 may serve as an attractive option if kept in the low to mid range as it is expected to be. That is, if you, unlike me, can overlook purchasing a new device stuck in Froyo.

Pantech Breakout 4G LTE Smartphone Review and Cost

Verizon Wireless has launch new smartphone with QWERTY keyboard which named as Pantech Breakout. This smartphone will run on the carrier's 4G LTE network and powered by features Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a 1-GHz processor. It features a 4-inch, 480-by-800 touch display, and 4G LTE mobile hotspot capability that supports up to 10 Wi-Fi-enabled devices. The Breakout's virtual QWERTY keyboard supports Swype technology for easier typing. There's also a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with HD video capture up to 720p and a VGA front-facing camera for still shots and video chatting. There's 8GB of pre-installed microSD.

With Verizon's 4G network, the carrier said the smartphone can get download speeds between 5 to 12Mbps and upload speeds of 2 to 5Mbps in 4G coverage areas. The Pantech Breakout is the latest device for Verizon's 4G LTE network, which debuted in December. The first smartphone to run on the network was the HTC Thunderbolt, which hit stores in March for $249.99. There's also the LG Revolution, the Motorola Droid Bionic, and the Samsung Droid Charge. Verizon might have some 4G competition thanks to AT&T, which launched its LTE network in Houston this weekend. The Pantech Breakout will be available on Verizon's Web site and in stores on Thursday, September 22 for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year contract. The rebate will be available via a debit card.

4G Samsung Galaxy S II X Coming Soon Live On TELUS

Samsung Hercules growing in the world phone. Telus in favor of the more traditional Galaxy S II moniker -- albeit with its own unique twist, of course. The company's got an official page up for its forthcoming flagship, dubbed the "4G Samsung Galaxy S II X." Talk about a mouthful, right? The device mirrors T-Mobile's version rather closely, improving upon the original model with a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, HSPA+ download speeds of up to 42Mbps and -- here's where it gets interesting -- a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU. We're still unsure of the chipmaker responsible for supporting the AWS 4G radio, but our money's on the Qualcomm APQ8060. The ever-frustrating "coming soon" is attached to the page, which seems to be fairly practices with new phones lately regardless.

The specs on the other hand are there and they match with previous ones mentioned: 1.5Ghz dual-core CPU, 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus WVGA display, WiFi with hotspot, eight-megapixel camera with full HD video recording capability, two-megapixel front facing webcam, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board.

NTT DoCoMo is ready to launch a new PlayStation-certified smartphone in the Japanese market. Dubbed as the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY SO-01D, the smartphone features a 4.0-inch VGA display, a 1GHz processor, a microSD memory card slot(up to 32GB), and a 5-megapixel digital camera with HD video recording capabilities. There is also a side-sliding gaming controller with two analog touch pads, left/right shoulder buttons, and a digital D pad. What’s more, the handset supports Xperia PLAY Game Launcher that allows you to find content designed specifically for the Xperia PLAY. The Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY SO-01D will be available for pre-order in October 2011.

BlackBerry Bold 9980 Next Evolution to TMobile Bold 9900

Remember the funky looking BlackBerry Bold 9980 that is said to be designed by Porsche? Well, more high quality photographs of the phone have surfaced again, and this time it is placed side by side with a T-Mobile Bold 9900 phone for comparison of size and parts. In addition to more detailed photographs about the phone, there are screenshots showing the phone powered on and running BlackBerry OS 7.

If the phone was a fake or some “Shanzai” copy, whoever made it sure place a lot of effort into duplicating the operating system as well. In fact, it seems to be very much a BlackBerry phone wit if wasn’t for the futuristic looking keyboard and overall design.
